Hi, I'm Bryce and I’m extremely passionate about Audio! 
Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve loved piecing together sound systems for myself, my friends, my family, and even the neighbours to enjoy… well, maybe not so much the neighbours!

Since then, the systems have only gotten bigger...

In 2018, I discovered a group called the High Order Quarter Wave Society (HOQS) - an online community based in the USA that brings people together who share a passion for music, bass, building, design, and the quest for the perfect system setup. The group has of over 40,000 enthusiastic members worldwide that share designs in a community-based format, collaborate on ideas, and help speed up the R&D process. 

HOQS planted a seed that grew into two major projects in my life:

1. Subcity Sound System:
A fully hand-built, large-scale sound system that provides sound hire services for local events, DJs, and musicians across the Northland region of New Zealand.

2. Subcity Audio:
While building my own system, I found it incredibly difficult to source the right equipment, drivers, parts, and accessories here in New Zealand. Subcity Audio was created to fix that problem -- a one-stop shop for all things sound system related.

We provide high-quality HOQS drivers, parts, and accessories; support for other builders and the wider community; and professional build services for anyone who wants their own custom system but doesn’t have the time to build it.
